One of the charities I have chosen to support wis Save the Children: Syria Crisis Appeal. Below is an excerpt from their website on what they do and how they support the crisis Syria has been facing. Not only is this something I personally feel everyone should be supporting regardless of heritage or religion, but without deluging to much personal information, my daughters' family are of Syrian heritage and still have some surviving family living in Syria, so this is incredibly personal and close to my heart to be able to support Syria and those affected, especially children in any way I possibly can.
'10 YEARS OF WAR IN SYRIA: WHAT HAS HAPPENED?
The Syrian civil war has left millions of children and families displaced and facing unimaginable horrors.
For many thousands of children 10 years of conflict has taken their childhood.
And now with Covid-19 spiralling out of control, the country is struggling with a chronic shortage of hospital beds, testing kits, water and oxygen.
The UK government has also now announced plans to cut aid to Syria, which would intensify the struggle for children who are already facing hunger and displacement.
10 years of war has taken so much from Syria's children. Don't let it take their future.
